Episode #145: Emergency React

This episode’s guest is Zion Lights, the founder of Emergency React. Zion is a climate activist and was once a member of Extinction Rebellion.

I have been accused of having a bit of an echo chamber on the podcast, which is probably fair criticism, so I wanted to have Zion on the pod to get her perspective on Energy and climate.

This episode we discuss Zion’s past working with climate activists and how she got turned off by their refusal to embrace anything but wind and solar.

We talk about her time spent working with Michael Shellenberger and how she eventually got comfortable with backing Nuclear energy as a way to reduce carbon emissions.

Lastly, we find common ground in the energy debate and talk about practical solutions that can lift humanity up rather than continuing down a green path to nowhere.
